Sutapa’s albums contain collection of songs which say about the various moods of Bengali feelings of romance, sorrow, and joy in the different spheres of life. These albums act as a bridge between golden past of Bangla Gaan or modern Bengali songs and today’s multicultural music background.
Sutapa’s first international album “Mahima” was released in the year 2003 in 36 countries by World Music Network, United Kingdom where she sang four songs. In the album Sutapa was the only vocalist along with other noted Indian and American musicians who performed in the album. |

This is Sutapa’s successful venture of Tagore’s songs from her varied repertoire.
