| Performances |
 In 2007 Sutapa sang at The Rhythm of Earth World Music festival at Bangkok where she performed solo and also collaborated with jazz and blues artist Ted Lewand from US and Todd Lavelle from Thailand.
In 2006 she toured extensively in the US with her brothers Pt.Debashish and Shubhasish Bhattacharya with their Harmony of Spheres troupe. Sutapa also performed with Jeff Peterson, a two time Grammy awardee in Hawaai.
 Summer of 2000 was another memorable year for Sutapa. She performed at Winnipeg Summer festival where she performed to a large audience of 25000. There were 500 artists from all over the globe. India was represented by Sutapa and her illustrious brothers.
At the Quebec City International Folk festival in July 2000 Sutapa performed with the legendary French musician Renne Leiceille, David Lindley and Bob Brozman. On 24th July 2000,her performance was telecast in the World Beat Television Show of CNN.
Sutapa has also performed in the “Asian Music Fantasy” held in Tokyo, Japan in the year’1996. Here she collaborated with Aska Kaneko.
At home in Kolkata, Sutapa has numerous performances to her credit.  She has traveled across the country with her vast repertoire. If in Bombay she sang Tagore’s songs, she enthralled audiences in Kolkata with her modern Bengali numbers. Many still recall her performance in Kolkata with artists from Bangladesh paying tribute to Nazrul, the rebel poet. Her frequent concerts in various forms of vocal music has carved a niche in contemporary music in India.
Sutapa carries a golden and melodious voice and reminds her audiences of the golden era of Bengali modern song, as mentioned in a leading daily of India, "Pratidin", "she is the rare few contemporary artist in modern times on whose shoulder lies the great responsibility of carrying golden era of bengali songs further to new heights".
